  • February 2022: The Power of Small: The Anganwadi Project. TAP volunteers and Board members Sarah Schoffel and Caroline Kite discuss the far-reaching and positive impact that small community led projects like The Anganwadi Project can have on communities in need. We are honoured to be featured on the Australian Institute of Architects website and print publication Architecture Bulletin (Vol. 78 / No.2 / 2021-2022).

  • July 2020: “The Anganwadi Project: A Ripple Effect”. Past TAP volunteers Ellie Gutman and Emma Leckie recently wrote an article for our esteemed colleagues, Health Habitat, about their experience in 2019 working as TAP volunteers with our project partner, Manav Sadhna, in Ahmedabad, India. They talk about architectural process as a method of community engagement, the TAP philosophy of ‘reduce, reuse, recycle’ and the inspiration and empowerment that an all women team had on the local women of the community. TAP Founder Jane Rothschild was recently interviewed by Singaporean based publication, DE51GN, to talk about TAP’s small beginnings, our process of working in the communities, the impact of our work and where we are heading next.   • May 2020: UNSW Built Environment Previous TAP volunteer, current Board Member and UNSW alumni, Caroline Kite, was recently profiled by UNSW about her career to date since completing her Masters of Architecture degree at UNSW and in particular her involvement with TAP since 2011.   • January 2020: We are happy to report that TAP has been featured in the the latest issue of Architecture Australia magazine (Jan/Feb 2020) the the national magazine of the Australian Institute of Architects.   • January 2020: Local Project Challenge. TAP was honoured to be featured on The Local Project Challenge, an online gallery that showcases projects around that world that engage with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’s). The aim of the Local Project Challenge is to increase awareness of the SDG’s and serve as a resource for exemplar projects in the fields of sustainability, development, education and empowerment of people to name a few.   • Connection, Community And Agency: Building A Village Preschool In India, August 2019
    Sarah Schoffel writes about the importance of anganwadis and TAP’s collaborative approach to the projects. Sarah is a TAP Board Member, Volunteer architect of Harivullu 1 preschool and alumni of RMIT University’s Master of Disaster, Design and Development.
